Saturday 6th August 1994, Aberdeen took on Blackburn Rovers in a testimonial game for Dons player Stewart McKimmie, Basic beginning of season warm up game really nothing to much to play for and with Rovers low on numbers through injuries, had Kenny Dalglish Rovers Manager and Rovers stalwart now first team coach Tony Parkes on the bench, Both taking some part in the game, Duncan Shearer a former Rover scored the only goal of the game early on.
