Wednesday 18th October 1995, European Champions League Group stage, Legia Warsaw entertained Blackburn in the third group game, Rovers struggling to find any luck so far, played two lost two, they really needed to get a result here in Polands capital, Legia with years of European football experience managed to contain Rovers, and won the game 1 0, Podbrozny scoring on 26 minutes after a great run from the left by Kucharski deep into Rovers penalty area, with a last gasp challenge from Hendry unable to prevent the cross in for Podbrozny to head the ball home beyond Kenna who was stood on the line.
Rovers played three, lost three, realistic chances of progression to next stage were over.
