Saturday 4th February 1995, League Division Three game Scunthorpe take on Colchester, with both teams in the top half of the division and Scunthorpe in goalscoring mood of late, it was sure to be a good game as a neutral, I was nott to be disappointed, Scunthorpe raced into a 3 0 lead in the first twenty minutes, a brace from Eyre and one from Bullimore, resting on their laurels though Scunthorpe eased off and before the half hour mark Colchester had pulled two goals back with Locke and English doing the damage, the game remained end to end with no clear winner evident as more goals looked likely befor ethe end of the game, Colchester notched it up a level and grabbed two goal in four minutes after the 80 minute mark from substitute Thompson. Final whistle went and Colchester went home victors from an enjoyable game.
