After the Fire Disaster at Valley Parade at the end of 84/85 season, Bradford City were forced to play "Home" games on neutral ground. On Saturday 8th March 1986 Bradford entertained Blackburn Rovers at Leeds Road (The Home of Huddersfield Town), Bradford had been maintaining great "Home form" winning almost all over their games, this turned out to be yet another victory for the team from Bradford, narrowly edging a 5 goal thriller. Goodman, Campbell and a penalty from Abbott being the City goalscorers, Quinn and Hamilton responding for Blackburn.

Monday 20th April 1987, I went back to Leeds Road, Huddersfield, to watch the Owners of the place, Huddersfield were hosting Blackburn Rovers in a Today Second Division game. Atypical end of season affair with little to play for and trying to consolidate positions in mid table for both teams, It was a close game Rovers winning by 2 1, Two goals from Simon Garner being enough, Cork responded for Town.
